Models should not be true, but it is important that they are applicable, and whether they are applicable for any given purpose must of course be investigated. This also means that a model is never accepted finally, only on trial.

At SIGMALYTIC we ask, who determines if the model produced by technology has a viable and interpretable business case? Who will continue to reject and improve upon a model to ensure it is never fully accepted? Until AI can consistently and reliably heed the call, and be trusted to legally and ethically fulfill the qualitatively and qualitatively rigorous role of the Principled Strategist, it will remain a tool to boost our time efficiency, but not as our replacement.
